Photographing newborns are absolutely one of my favorites! And we are lucky enough here in Florida to be able to capture their beauty outdoors almost year round. This little princess was such an angel, a total pro! Did not make a peep as I snapped away! Oh the happiness these littles bring, ENJOY!
Well, needless to say I have been completely neglecting my poor blog! But now I’m back and I have some beautiful sessions to share with you!
Mother nature can be quite the pest in the summer months here in Florida and this evening was no exception. The rain clouds lingered and lingered, but we were lucky and never felt a drop. Instead we had a beautiful hazy sky that complimented the turquoise ocean just perfectly. I was so thrilled to shoot 3 beautiful generations of this sweet family and I absolutely love the finished product! Hope you enjoy these ladies as much as I did!
I’ve been itching to shoot at the fair for over a year now, and was so excited when I got the chance a few weeks back. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect family for this session! This mama is a fellow photog so she was just excited as I was for the awesome backdrop that the fair provides. From the bright colors to the fun rides and everything in between it made for a wonderful shoot! I will definitely be headed back in 2014!
I’ve been wanting to get this post up for a few weeks now, but some how personal photos tend to fall by the wayside when things get hectic. I always get around to them, but not as quickly as I’d like. I promised myself I would change that this year, I’m feeling positive!
Any whoozle, since the fall I’d been researching what my next lens purchase would be. I went back and forth for months but finally made up my mind and chose a new 85mm. I basically stood at the window waiting for the UPS man to arrive and almost hugged him with excitement when he did! So… first things first take my little guy out to test my new gear! For things like this I have to plan ahead and make sure he’s well rested and that I have some exciting bribery ready for when we finish up. I’d give him a 6 our of 10 on the cooperative scale for this quicky shoot, but hey for a 2 1/2 year old that’s not half bad.
So for now I leave you with my little guy, a 28 year old Tonka truck and some amazing bokeh from my new addition!
I had been thinking of this set up for a while, slowly buying pieces to create my teepee and waiting for the perfect opportunity to put it to use. I booked this session back in January and I knew from the beginning it would be a great fit for them! We shot just a few days before the first day of spring and our weather couldn’t have been better, with a cold front on its way out we had no humidity and blue skies!
I’ve had the pleasure of shooting a few 2nd birthday sessions recently and they are just so fun. These tots love their cupcakes and I really adore capturing their enjoyment. I mean hey, I’m pretty excited when some one puts a delicious cupcake in my hand too!!! Happy spring and I hope this helps get you in the springtime mood!!

I was originally supposed to shoot these two kiddies last August when they were down visiting over the summer, but with a mess of bad weather we had to cancel until their next visit. I was thrilled to get a call from their Grandma a few weeks ago to let me know they were headed back down and wanted to set up a session. We had a wonderful time shooting last spring with their other grandkids and I knew this would be no different! They are so fun, relaxed and just a joy to be around. I couldn’t be more grateful that they let me capture these wonderful memories for them!
I had the pleasure of working with this wonderful family a few weeks back and it was such a great way to end my weekend! We had a perfect golden hour on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, filled with lots of laughs, smiles and family love!!! Hope you enjoy them on your screen as much as I enjoyed them in front of my lens!
